  The Emirates Group Photography Club in collaboration with Adrian Cambridge Photography and sponsored by SanDisk Middle East and Africa will conduct its basic photography course with practical model shoots (natural and studio lightings) and basic post processing course this coming 18th of March 2011.

  About Adrian:

  He started photography after buying a DSLR while on honeymoon almost two years ago. Since then photography has become somewhat of a passion.
  Adrian’s back ground is in technology and computing. Currently he works as the regional technology manager for a large international law firm.

  “I have always wanted to find a creative outlet, and photography has given this to me. With my background I enjoy the technical and post production aspects of photography. I find shooting portraits the most rewarding. It’s great to make someone smile when they see their photo!”

  “Let me guide you through your first steps and help you start your journey into photography!”

  The course is basically for beginners and hobbyists.

  Workshop flow:
  0800hrs – Registration
  08:30 to 12:30hrs – Basic photography and/or camera theory. A coffee break at 10:30.
  12;30 to 1pm – Lunch break
  1pm to 4 pm – models shoots (using natural lights and studio lights) plus post processing.
  4pm to 4:30pm – photo competition sponsored by SanDisk

  Requirements:

  1) With or without DSLR. Point and shoot camera users are welcome to attend.
  2) Laptop with PS installation. If no Photo shop installed, we will provide one.

  For the month of July, Rock Nation is conducting the July Rockathon, which is sponsored by SanDisk to encourage budding local rock music talent.
  The July Rockathon is an on-going rock and roll event that has 16 bands playing on four back-to-back weekends all through the month of July at different venues across Dubai. The performances will include, Fatiniza – the Columbian performer who launched her debut album – Confusion, GoPilot – The energy punk rock band, and Brown Fusion – the reggae rock band, amongst others.
  The final performance, being held on July 30th, 2010 is an acoustic show for all ages and will be held at The Shelter, Al Quoz.
