Usama Jacir is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of United Corrosion Technologies (UCT).

Usama played an active role in developing and adopting the business plan for UCT, which was established in Jordan in 2005. Two years later, he assumed the role of Managing Partner for the GCC and set out to establish UCT in Dubai.

Since then, UCT has successfully promoted its offering and has achieved positive results in the GCC construction and industrial markets. UCT’s corrosion inhibitors in particular have achieved great success in gaining significant market share in the UAE, Oman and Qatar.

Prior to his role at UCT, Usama worked at United Chemical Company (UNICHEM), the leading manufacturer of Protective Coating in Jordan. He started as Production Supervisor in 1994 and gradually transitioned through the Technical Department until he assumed the Managing Director role in 2001. During this period, Usama worked on multiple projects such as:
• Development of new markets (such as Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Greece and Kazakhstan)
• Development of high performance protective coatings, linings and flooring systems
• Implementation of Quality Assurance System that made UNICHEM the first Coatings manufacturer to receive ISO 9001 Certification in Jordan

Usama obtained his BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas, USA in 1994. He is a member of the National Association for Corrosion Engineers (NACE), the Steel Structure Painting Council (SSPC), the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI). He also served as board member in the Young Entrepreneurs Association (YEA) in Jordan in 2005-2006.
