Omar has over 36 years experience in the hotel industry with a hotel degree gained in an International college of Hotel & Tourism Management, Tangier, Morocco, besides he has attended various management training, Insead France, and Leading Starwood on Leadership in USA and Training Service Asia – Techniques of F&B Sales Increase Singapore.

He held several key managerial positions and extensive work experience in Africa, South East Asia, Middle East and Europe from leading International hotel chains that include Starwood, Meridien, Safir, Pan Pacific.

Omar began his career in 1973 in Morocco and then moved to France, U.A.E, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Malaysia and held various managerial positions in these regions.

Under Omar’s astute leadership at Sheraton Makkah Hotel, the hotel became the highest revenue generating property within Middle East & Africa region. He served for 7 years and then he was named as the General Manager for Four Points by Sheraton Le Verden, Beirut in 2007.

In 2008, Omar returned to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as General Manager for Moevenpick Hotel Hajar Tower Makkah, directing a multi-million dollar investment project at Abraj Al Bait Tower and oversee the hotel operation from pre-opening stage.
