InRizzardi Group Profile
The activity of the InRizzardi Group was born and developed from the great passion and entrepreneurial attitude of Gianfranco Rizzardi, which, in these years has pushed the Company towards ever more ambitious goals.
In addition to the historical productive unit of Sabaudia extending a total of 60.000 sq. m. with approx. 11.000 sqm, of covered space, is the new industrial plant of Cerasella, recently acquired together with the brand name “Posillipo”, counting an operational covered surface of 6000 sq. m and equipped with the most recent technological innovations in the nautical field. Currently the plant is being enlarged and will extend to a total covered surface of 10.000 sq. m.
On a strategic point of view, it became relevant to be able to count on productive area located on a sea front in order to be able to build bigger boats (over 30mt) and avoid costly problems of transportation from the yard to the launch areas. To resolve this issue, a productive complex has been bought near Fiumicino (located near the Rome airport) of a total covered surface of 2000 sqm
In the last 5 years the InRizzardi Group has strongly consolidated its presence in the Rome area, more precisely in Ostia, Rome’s Port, and in Fiumicino, the traditional arrival point of foreign customers, through the acquisitions of 2 important areas: the CNR historical area and the Netter Shipyards. The CNR area disposes of an operational surface of 11.000 sqm equipped with a travel-lift (up to 400 tons) and an undercarriage able to move yachts up to 50 tons. The Netter Shipyards offers a docking area able to accommodate 50 boats of medium and large dimensions, and a moorage along the river of 170 mt. that can accommodate boats up to 40 m. long.,
Fiumicino thus becomes the service area of the InRizzardi Group and a point of reference for the central Italian market, also supplying integrated services to the customers of Rome.
The frontiers of the yard, projected towards the acquisition of important quotas of the international market, are increasing progressively with the construction of ever more luxurious and spacious motor-yachts. Performance and avant-garde technology have been renewed to perfect the characteristics that have always distinguished the brand CR, Cantieri Rizzardi, and its big open “Rizzardi” while exclusive elegance, comfort, distinctive luxury are the key points of the prestigious flying–bridge branded “Posillipo”.
Modern technology and ancient tradition are blended in the realization of the line formed by the larger “flying-bridge” crafts.
Today the InRizzardi Group is a solid reality in the pleasure craft industry. The 3 productive complexes are able to offer employment to an average of 640 direct and non direct workers. The newly acquired strategic area allows the Company to offer adequate assistance and docking services to its customers, complementing its core business of construction.
Acquisition of the Gaeta-based Italcraft builder represents a strategic move to grow construction of major size craft in a crucial location, with direct access to the sea. Italcraft operates a facility of 36,000 sqm, of which 10,000 covered. This acquisition will allow Rizzardi to expand its existing capacity, from current 120,000 sqm at the Sabaudia and Fiumicino yards.
Also, merging with a specialist team in a location close to Rizzardi’s yards will facilitate the sharing of knowledge between teams.
Rizzardi intends to focus on the Italcraft brand, as it has successfully done after consolidation of the Posillipo brand, now Group’s luxury flybridge line. To do so, Rizzardi chose to maintain the Italcraft brand and continue operations of Italcraft’s principal models, amongst which Sarima, X54, X46 and Drago 70 are included.
Italcraft’s latest design is Maxidrago95 and 105 – luxury open yachts incorporating advanced technology both in the hydrodynamics of her hull form and innovative propulsion system.
Within the last 2 years InRizzardi continued to pursue expansion as it acquired builders “Diano”, “Santa Yachts”, “Cantieri Parisi” and “BAT”, and potentiated its global sales.
Building on four Rizzardi, Posillipo, Italcraft and Diano brands, InRizzardi continues its expansion philosophy. New three builders are now part of the Group.
InRizzardi’s philosophy translates into operational practice as it implements new facilities and diversifies boatbuilding.
Group’s newly acquired builders are aluminum and steel ship builders ‘Cantieri Santa’, with operations in La Spezia; traditional ‘gozzo’ fishing craft builders “Cantieri Parisi” and leading ‘BAT’ inflatable boat manufacturer
Distribution was potentiated based on new dealership agreements in emerging Russia, China and Venezuela, additional to a solidified presence in Spain, France, Eastern Europe and the US.
New commercial arrangements are being finalized to expand to attractive Mexico, Argentina and Costa Rica.
Yachts delivered in the last years show how there is significant domestic demand and new major contracts in Greece’s market. Also, Rizzardi has promising ongoing negotiations with Russian and Spanish buyers.
Special mention goes to DIANO master shipwrights in custom-only wood construction. Diano pursues a larger classic-style client base, as it maintains commitment to craftsmanship and care for details that characterize these fascinating boats.
