Following their unbeaten run at home, the Dubai-based Precor under-16 team head to Sweden to take part in the renowned Gothis Cup hoping to all the way this time.

There’s a good reason why Derek Burke, head coach of the Dubai based Precor under-16 team, believes his lads are capable of achieving something special at the 37th Gothia Youth Football World Cup.

For starters, this same group of players have already competed in the most renowned youth football tournament in the world for the last two years where they made the quarter finals in 2009 and the last 16 a year ago. But for a team that have won every junior tournament they have entered over the past five years, and one that just secured a credible third place in the recently concluded Dubai Amateur Football League (DAFL) division three, Burke is confident Precor will head to the Swedish city in July for the third year running with their best chance yet of going all the way.
